El Instituto Superior Tecnol\u00f3gico Jos\u00e9 Ortega y Gasset, de Riobamba, Ecuador, tiene el honor de presentar el libro del rector de nuestra instituci\u00f3n, Nelson Carpio Salas, titulado \u201cEl tiempo que fue nuestro\u201d, como otra contribuci\u00f3n cultural a la sociedad, esta vez con una obra que trata temas como el arte, la educaci\u00f3n, la Historia, entre otros.<\/p>

\u00c9ste no es un libro curricular o conmemorativo, sino el resultado de una vida de dedicaci\u00f3n al conocimiento, en el que el autor rescata algunas de las formas de vivir y pensar de su generaci\u00f3n, al tiempo que reflexiona sobre temas trascendentes de esta \u00e9poca mediante argumentos surgidos de su personal observaci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis, m\u00e1s que de la revisi\u00f3n de otros criterios o bibliograf\u00edas. De esta forma, la obra entrega un real aporte al entendimiento de la realidad.<\/p>

Y lo hace demostrando una comprensi\u00f3n de nuestra identidad, pasado, presente y futuro, as\u00ed como de lo singular y lo colectivo. La claridad de la exposici\u00f3n, junto a la capacidad de s\u00edntesis, muestran el estilo orteguiano del autor, capaz de plantear ideas propias en escritos breves, alejados de la divagaci\u00f3n posmoderna o el vac\u00edo del ideologismo.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

En este libro dedicado a sus padres, Francisco Carpio Cadena y Leonor Salas Alarc\u00f3n, Carpio incorpora adem\u00e1s una forma original de meditar al combinar la reflexi\u00f3n filos\u00f3fica con la cr\u00edtica cinematogr\u00e1fica en un nivel in\u00e9dito, ya que partiendo de los argumentos y mensajes de obras maestras del s\u00e9ptimo arte, acomete el an\u00e1lisis de temas eternos sobre la vida y la realidad, surgidos pero finalmente ya emancipados del tema f\u00edlmico vinculado.<\/p>

Un libro sin auspicios ni compromisos, que nuestra instituci\u00f3n entrega a las generaciones presentes y futuras con la convicci\u00f3n de que servir\u00e1 para orientar en tiempos de confusi\u00f3n, vac\u00edo y superficialidad. Para demostrar que el fin de la historia y de las ideas no es cierto, pues siempre existir\u00e1n individuos capaces de pensar y actuar con independencia y libertad.
